My name is Parker Eastman and I am looking to direct two shows at the beginning of our 2019 season! I have both pit orchestras put together (minus a couple parts) and I just have to worry about casting now! The following two shows are both musicals; one is a musical within a comedy and the other is what I like to refer to as the “money maker.” The two shows are as follows:
The Drowsy Chaperone (April 2019)
-The Drowsy Chaperone is a loving send-up of the Jazz Age musical, featuring one show-stopping song and dance after another. With the house lights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record; the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and The Drowsy Chaperone begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight.
Minimum Cast Requirements: (19 Minimum)
–Male Leads: 8
–Female Leads: 5
–Ensemble: Minimum 3 Male & 3 Female [Maids/Servants, Reporters, Monkeys, Etc.]

The Wizard of OZ (May 2019)
-When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage. The wizard asks the group to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West to earn his help.
Minimum Cast Requirements: (18 Minimum)
